RBS and Forbes organized business-breakfast on PPP issues

As part of the IX St. Petersburg International Legal Forum RBS in cooperation with the leading financial and economic edition Forbes Russia held a business breakfast at the Four Seasons Hotel.

During the closed business-breakfast the speakers raised current issues of cooperation between the state and the private sector for the implementation of investment projects, including the problems of improvement of legislation and development of PPP projects in new areas.

The meeting was moderated by Nikolay Uskov, Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Russia, and the guests of the breakfast were top officials of the largest Russian companies. The invited speakers presented to the guests examples of versatile interaction between the government and business and discussed relevant industry issues. 

One of the speakers was Grigory Fedorov, Partner and Head of PPP Practice of RBS, who spoke about practical obstacles and legal risks that may arise in the structuring and preparation of concession projects.

Among other speakers of the meeting is David Tavadyan, Managing Partner of "Medkon" Medical Group. He spoke about long-term investment projects in medicine with the use of artificial intelligence and big data technologies; Elena Bardasheva, Managing Director of Infrastructure Projects Department and Gazprombank PPP, presented a case study on the specifics of banks' participation in PPP projects and the conditions necessary to provide bank financing; Roman Khakhalev, General Director of Urban Parking LLC, shared the peculiarities of PPP projects in the field of digital parking.

The St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (SPILF) is an annual business event created at the initiative of the Ministry of Justice and with the support of the President of the Russian Federation.
The Forum is a unique platform created to discuss current legal issues in the context of global social and economic challenges. The Forum is annually attended by top officials from Russia and foreign countries, leading international experts in economics, law and international relations, heads of legal departments of the world's largest companies, representatives of the international legal community.

This year the IX St. Petersburg International Legal Forum was attended by more than 5000 people from 95 countries of the world. Around 120 official events were held.
